    • Installation is needlessly more difficult without X and a browser.
    • The liveCD doesn't have X

      Live help is done via Discord or a web browser, which requires X OR Wayland. The Funtoo forums can be accessed via a text browser, but there is much lost over a GUI browser.

      Wayland is not supported on Funtoo Next, but this might be a good pathway to make that happen. It doesn't have to be much, I imagine any tiling or compositing WM will work for most people.
