NetworkManager not bridge-friendly

On my home server, I currently use a wired connection. I set up brlan as a bridge with a static IP, and I add eth0 to it (template=interface-noip). I then start up containers which also get added to brlan and are thus able to connect to my LAN (and are reachable by other systems on my LAN).

I have thought of moving my server over to a wireless USB adapter, and I'd use NetworkManager, except that I don't think this is currently easy or even possible to do. NetworkManager calls out to dhcpcd and assigns the IP to the wireless interface that has associated with the endpoint. What I'd want NetworkManager to do instead is to add the wireless interface to my bridge and assign the IP to the bridge.

Maybe there is another solution that will accomplish my wireless goals that doesn't require code changes to NetworkManager. Let me know if you think of one.
