Currently, metatools has a hard-coded path of ~/repo_tmp, which was fine when it was being actively tested but is now a bit unsightly. It would be good if users could configure the location of these files to move it to a better location, or locations (possibly fastpull has its own unique location.)

The basic issue here is that the paths in metatools are not well integrated into the standard Linux FHS and there is also no easy mechanism for users to do so.
