    • A listed bug in the oauthbearer authentication in version 1.8.4.
    • Oauth2 authentication was fixed in later releases.

      I can't send email because oauth2 authentication is broken in msmtp version 1.8.4 (the version in portage), but is fixed in the current release 1.8.15 [according to the changelog, it was actually fixed in 1.8.5, but may as well update to the current release].
