Currently, /etc/init.d/xdm stop triggers a cgroups cleanup feature that is built in to openrc. Sometimes, this cleanup hangs for 90 seconds, which is the timeout configured in /etc/rc.conf. This should be lowered to something like 10 seconds and possibly the default signal should be set to SIGTERM.
