I am working on a feature for our merge scripts which will allow collections of ebuilds to be pushed to various repositories. This will allow, for example, an xorg overlay to be created and updated automatically using the Gentoo portage tree as a base.

This xorg overlay could then be merged into funtoo, but we would have control over the commit to use. This would allow stabilization of portions of the tree.
