Our version of `openrc` is getting stale:  Upstream is at `openrc-0.53` and we have a static ebuild for `openrc-0.44.10` that was released on 20 Dec 2021.  There have been 13 releases from upstream since our version.  It seems like a good idea to me to investigate whether we can use the tagged version on github as the source for an autogen: https://github.com/OpenRC/openrc/tags
