Jira Bug: Cannot create sub-tasks of an Issue

      As a regular user in Jira, go to an issue
      Then go to the More drop down menu and select "Create sub-task
      Fill in title filed and hit create

      As part of the Ruby Project I am building out all the Issues on Funtoo Jira Bug Tracker.

      I want to leverage Jira sub-tasks to better organize the project work. Unfortunately when I try to do so I get an unknown HTTP 400 error. See screenshots below.
