I received this when emerging qemu-6.2.0, as it was building its documentation.

pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The 'importlib-metadata>=4.4' distribution was not found and is required by Sphinx

It may be a good idea to disable docs by default via USE, but of course this is a recent dependency change in sphinx that should be fixed in our autogen.
