I am installing a 32-bit chroot Funtoo on a new machine, so I can run 32-bit wine according to my own method which I documented at https://www.funtoo.org/32_bit_chroot_environment_for_Wine

The first world update after chrooting fails at rebuilding dev-python/cryptography (version: 36.0.1)

There were several problems, 2 of which I have worked around and another one which I didn't.

      1. it depends on dev-python/pip, which was however not listed as a dependency and not pulled in automatically. I resolved that by installing dev-python/pip manually

      2. it depends on rust, which was also not pulled in automatically. I first tried installing virtual/rust but that depends on dev-python/cryptography, thus leading to a circular dependency. I finally installed dev-lang/rust and that solved the problem.

3., next error: seems to have issues pulling and/or unpacking files from github. I am attaching the build log. FWIW, networking from inside the chroot works fine and I have no problems accessing github or other sites from inside the chroot. Also I have no problems installing other random packages with emerge.
