New multi-head behavior in gfxcard-intel-iris mix-in
-
The video appears in the center of a large virtual desktop such that I am not able to view it properly on a single display.
I am not certain whether this is a "bug" per se or what the cause of the behavior is as two things have changed since I last had a configuration that worked as I desired. Prior to switching to the gfxcard-intel-iris mix-in in order to enable PRIME support for my Nvidia GPU and updating to cinnamon-4.8 I was able to connect a second display to my laptop and have a separate desktop on that display such that I could use for things like watching video on a television. However, I am now getting a spanned desktop across multiple monitors such that if I try to view a fullscreen window or video it appears on both desktops. This is particularly troublesome for watching video as I am left with a video in the middle of a virtual display that appears half on one display and half on the other. It's unclear to me what triggered this change and how I can change it back.
