Currently, if you emerge xfce-extra/thunar-archive-plugin without previously installed archive manager (supported are Xarchiver, Ark, file-roller), Thunar will report that it cannot find suitable archive manager.

I suggest to add USE flag which offers the choice of archive manager like (in example) for xfce-extra/thunar-vcs-plugin where there are flags for subversion and git.
