The ELAN touchpad in the Gigabyte Aero 15 is a new model and is not recognized by any of our kernels as a touchpad. Instead, the psmouse driver kicks in and provides support for it, which gets it functional. It tracks well but doesn't have things like touch rejection while typing and this makes it a pretty bad experience.

I checked and the latest Linux sources in Linus' git master do not support this touchpad, either. We will look into adding support for this touchpad.
