I've managed to import https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/tree/sys-apps/util-linux/util-linux-2.32-r3.ebuild to a local repository on my laptop running funtoo and have successfully compiled and merged said version.. I've not experienced any problems with it as of yet, and things would seem to be well with it.
