Huge update recently w/python, dotnet stuff, upon cold boot slim accepted password and screen hung at login screen. Mouse functional. .xsession-errors had numerous complaints about libpango from all gui progs (compiz, lxpanel, docky, etc.). Reinstalled pango and all fine.
