A master tracking report for consolekit improvements and updates.
Currently, a bunch of reports dealing with sys-auth/consolekit. It is needed to make a research and possibility of making consolekit lesser troublesome for a desktop systems.
0.4.6 is an old and no longer maintained, however still providing good experience
0.9.x are pre-releases of a consolekit2, which is a continuation of consolekit, lead by XFCE team. These pre-releases are known of giving troubles, specially 0.9.4.
1.0 is first stable release of consolket2. This release implements some parts of systemd's login capabilities, which is a good alternative for non-systemd boxes. Upower project has this release support enabled for a power management. SDDM, a new login manager for plasma 5 also using this version. Xfce is working quite well.
Gnome is a special case 3.14 might not have support for this version, possibly it just works but need thorough tets.
