Previously, I had proposed a work which was to use kde-framework-5.x/qt5 but block all kde4-libs. This is obsolete and old attachments are removed.

In this new procedure you will be able to mix kde-framework-5.x/qt5 with kde4/qt4 softwares. Important thing is that everything is done from a fresh stage3 installation. But packages comes from the main funtoo tree, and it's easy. In this way that must work for you too.

Currently there is no mix-ins for this purpose, but only one package.use file which contains everything needed.

Summary:

Fresh installation with stage 3
epro flavor desktop
epro mix-ins +X +no-systemd +no-emul-linux-x86
