GRUB2 does not create proper directories

      Funtoo i686 current, unmasking grub:2 and then emerging it brings in new boot-update, but does not create and /boot/grub[2]/ directories. Will also not let me run

      1. grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
        or
      2. grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
        as neither directory exists, as well as 'grub2-mkconfig' is not a valid command.
