This is a tracker for an easy wireless install story. This is important for Funtoo Linux installations - sysrescuecd does a good job with allowing wireless to be configured, and we want users installing on laptops to be able to have similar "it just works" wireless support.
It consists of the following parts:
1. easy merging of networkmanager for all profiles.
2. A command-line utility to define networkmanager network connections (from ubuntu's checkbox suite, scripts/create_connection command) (requires rfkill or disabling rfkill calls)
3. updating of documentation to outline easy network configuration steps, which will be:
USE="binary" emerge debian-sources
emerge networkmanager
emerge linux-firmware
(reboot)
rc-update add NetworkManager default
rc
create connection for your network using script
