      Description

I don't know if this is omitted by design or a failure to render, but the message tray at the bottom of the gnome shell is missing. One used to be able to view it by pressing the window key, or moving the mouse cursor to the upper left corner of the screen. It would be displayed at the bottom of the screen and included icons of running apps - hplip, pidgin, etc., and would also contain the shell extension "system-monitor". The system-monitor extension still exists, but since the message tray is gone, the system-monitor extensions is not displayed.

I don't know if this is by design or not, so I'm reporting it here.
