It'll be more obvious that things are the way they're meant to be.
When using `eix` to ask for the verions of `mesa` available/installed:
$ eix mesa [?] media-libs/mesa [1] Available versions: *22.0.1^t **23.1.9^t {+X d3d9 debug +egl +gbm gles1 +gles2 +glvnd +llvm lm-sensors lm_sensors opencl osmesa +proprietary-codecs selinux test unwind vaapi valg rind vdpau vulkan vulkan-overlay wayland xa xvmc zink +zstd CPU_FLAGS_X86="sse2" KERNEL="lin ux" VIDEO_CARDS="d3d12 freedreno intel lavapipe lima nouveau panfrost r300 r600 radeon radeo nsi v3d vc4 virgl vivante vmware"} Installed versions: 22.0.1^t(18:01:11 23/09/23)(X egl gbm gles1 gles2 glvnd llvm vaapi vdpau wayland xvmc zstd -d3d9 -debug -lm_sensors -opencl -osmesa -selinux -test -unwind -va lgrind -vulkan -vulkan-overlay -xa -zink CPU_FLAGS_X86="sse2" KERNEL="linux" VIDEO_CARDS="in tel -freedreno -lima -nouveau -panfrost -r300 -r600 -radeon -radeonsi -v3d -vc4 -virgl -viva nte -vmware") Homepage: https://www.mesa3d.org/ https://mesa.freedesktop.org/ Description: OpenGL-like graphic library for Linux
the output is somewhat confusing, because it appears that all versions available are masked! They are red with asterisks. That notation usually means something is dangerous/unstable/untested.
I propose that we change the keywords for the stable version of `mesa` in the template to be `*` so that it's green and happy.
