Currently such files want to end up in `/var/run` itself, but that doesn't work; only subdirectories of `/var/run` seem writable by init scripts.  Moving them to the subdir makes everything work as expected.  Affected scripts are `dhclient`, `dhcpcd`, `bridge-dhcpcd`.
