Some Rust packages like meilisearch use crates that are sourced from Git. Metatools currently only has support for dependencies sourced from the official Crates registry, which results in errors while trying to autogen packages like that.

To add support for Git-sourced crates, both metatools and eclass changes are required in order to fetch the repos, find where the crates live within them (because there can be multiple crates in a single repo), and instruct cargo where to find the fetched repos.
