This causes metro to fail on a full stage build when done inside an lxd container, as each stage (1 and 2) cause /dev to be unmounted when completed.
As per the summary, on harvester.funtoo.org, I am seeing /dev unounted within the lxd container at each stage of the metro run. This is a bug, and shouldn't be happening. It doesn't appear to happen in non-containers (physical systems or virtual machines.)
This was previously noticed by borisp (will try to link issue) but it was unclear to me that this was happening when it should not have been.
