Kitty 0.27.0 now uses golang for kitten – details from ChangeLog:

A new statically compiled, standalone executable, kitten (written in Go)
that can be used on all UNIX-like servers for remote control (kitten @),
viewing images (kitten icat), manipulating the clipboard (kitten clipboard), etc. 

Currently, the ebuild doesn't build and requires updates to work properly with golang.

This ebuild should be updated so kitty works again. Right now it won't merge due to missing go modules.
