Over the course of the past months while helping maintain dev-lang/rust I am constantly rebuilding installed Rust Cargo Crate packages after the install of a new dev-lang/rust to ensure compilation compatibility.

This is a improvement request to Funtoo's sys-apps/portage to add a new rebuild set  called rust-rebuild (just like golang-rebuild) config to /usr/share/portage/config/sets/portage.conf to specifically rebuild all Rust Cargo crates using the cargo eclass that could help Funtoo Rust users life easier during language version upgrades.

Additionally elog messages should be added to both dev-lang/rust and dev-lang/rust-bin to notify users of this new portage rebuild set.
