This impacts both PyQt5, PyQtWebEngine as well as qt-kit to some degree. PyQt-based applications can't merge by default (I am testing using the GNOME profile.) Qt apps should be able to be installed in any DE in Funtoo without package.use changes. This requires enabling some sane default package.use settings.
This has been a problem for use of PyQt in Funtoo for a while.
I recommend fixing it by tweaking our workstation profile to set appropriate package.use settings for PyQt5, PyQtWebEngine, and qt-kit packages.

These were two PyQtWebEngine apps I tried to merge, but the problems are pretty extensive if you look at PyQt-depending apps as well. I don't see a reason why a reasonable set of useful functionality isn't enabled in qt,PyQT and PyQTWebEngine by default.
