Unable to shutdown computer on fresh stage 3 Cinnamon install

    • Complete a fresh install using a stage 3 cinnamon tarball. Add a user, and then login to Cinnamon as that user. Attempt to shutdown the computer from the menu.
    • Issue seems to be that elogind is not being started 'out of the box', and the problem is resolved by adding elogind to the default runlevel.

      Using the stage3 cinnamon tarball for install results in a system that can't be shutdown from the Menu, requiring you to use the power button or a terminal logged in as root to execute a shutdown.
