Recently coffnix and I have successfully got Funtoo Linux running on a Turing Pi v1 running Raspberry Pi v3+ Compute Modules:

funtoo@rpi0 ~ $ cat /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/model
Raspberry Pi Compute Module 3 Plus Rev 1.0

In the never ending quest to make ARM64 on Raspberry Pi a grade A architecture for Funtoo, this is a formal request to make available for all Funtoo users an arm-64bit rpi-cm-v3plus optimized stage3.

Here are the CFLAGS that have been verified as working:

-march=armv8-a+crc -mtune=cortex-a53 -ftree-vectorize -O2 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer

fchroot has also been fully test with the a53 arch using: fchroot --cpu cortex-a53 . su --login
