For improving 'doit' functionality, it would be useful to be able to tell 'doit' to append any exception/error output to a log file. This way, when metatools calls it, 'doit' can add any errors it has to a single log file which would contain all autogen errors for that particular kit.

This would allow users of merge-kits to easily review all errors encountered during processing.
