It would be useful if DISTDIR can contain multiple pathes separated, for example, with \n.
This is similar to overlay but for dist archives.
The purpose for this the next. For company local software there is convenient to have a local repository, but, for example, without http and ftp - it is accessed with help of some kind of networking fs. So, every server mount dist repository to local dir.
Now we resolve this problem with overlayfs mount to $DISTDIR. But this solution has its drawbacks.
In this case - multipath support - the first path specified in DISTDIR should be treated as read/write location and next ones - as read-only. So, all downloaded packages are placed in the first path.
In conjunction with RESTRICT="fetch" this feature allow to have such local dist repository without the need for http/ftp server.
