Currently Funtoo has its own GCC ebuild avoiding toolchain.eclass and simplifying its design, a mostly ebuild written from scratch.

The ebuild lacks "hardened" USE flag support, which is critical for "hardened" profile flavor.

This ebuild is to request the addition of that support to build GCC with PIE, PIESPP and SPP patches the way Gentoo's ebuild do to be able to use the protection offered on those kinds of builds.
