emerald-0.9.5 does not compile properly with > binutils-2.31.1-r1

    • compiz/emerald likely need some maintenance/maintainer in Funtoo to get them working well again.

      At least that seems to be the case.  I tried downgrading gcc to a version known to work(7.4.1xxx) and still it fails with Segmentation Fault.  After days of effort grabbed a PKGBUILD from a machine not updated here, installed the package, works fine.  Since it's a compile issue and linux-headers and glibc are the same and downgraded gcc still makes a failed package, I am assuming binutils to be the culprit.  Back up your systems before upgrade!
