app-emulation/lxd-3.12 app-emulation/lxc-3.0.3 having start/stop/reboot/persistence issues

      Lxd is failing to restart containers correctly, there is no persistence across reboots (sometimes causing lxd to crash on start) and if a container hangs on a reboot/halt call, the host system will hang indefinitely waiting on latest init script to die. There are also reports of calling reboot inside of containers causing host to reboot. Logs on my system and several users in #funtoo are showing issues with mounting /dev/pts and some users are unable to start their containers without first remounting /dev/pts. The container hangs I'm experiencing are INIT: Id "c1

      {2,3,4,5,6}

      " respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes ad infinitum on gentoo guests.

      There are some other strange issues and I hope some of the users experiencing these problems can report on this bug also, since they were using production systems. Hopefully you/we can figure out whats going on? I was thinking maybe some pam thing with pts 0 idk confusing. Also wanted to say I had no problems whatsoever before latestest lxd update and pam update if it's even relevant. I'll attach all logs.
