I'm running sys-kernel/debian-sources-4.19.9. I tried emerging zfs-0.7.12, but sys-kernel/spl-0.7.12 failed during the configure phase with the below error:

checking kernel source directory... /usr/src/linux
checking kernel build directory... /usr/src/linux
checking kernel source version... Not found
configure: error: *** Cannot find UTS_RELEASE definition.

I found this bug report online ( https://github.com/zfsonlinux/spl/issues/397 ) and it said that configure needs  include/generated/utsrelease.h in the kernel source directory, but when I checked the kernel source directory /usr/src/linux-debian-sources-4.19.9/include/generated/ the only file present was autoconf.h. So I'm not sure if this is an error with the spl ebuild or if perhaps it's an error with the Debian sources ebuild for not installing a needed file.{{}}
