LXQt is stuck on version 0.11 in the ebuilds. That was released nearly two years ago. The current release is 0.13.

While trying to figure out why Gentoo is also on 0.11, I saw something about how they don't/didn't have a maintainer for it. That may have changed by now, though, as 0.13 is available on Gentoo but marked "testing".

I admit I don't know what criteria an ebuild requires to get out of "testing" and be marked "stable", so I don't know if this is something that you'll want to wait for Gentoo to mark "stable" or if it can be updated before then.
