I am using libinput for my touchpad on xorg via xf86-input-libinput. Since upgrading to dev-libs/libinput-1.8.0 the libinput Disable While Typing Enabled option is not respected and I can interact with my touchpad (on purpose or by accident) while typing. I have verified that it is still enabled with xinput:
Device 'SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad':
Device Enabled (142): 1
...
libinput Disable While Typing Enabled (303): 1
libinput Disable While Typing Enabled Default (304): 1
I have tried different versions of x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput to verify that it was not an incompatibility with the x11 driver. Downgrading to dev-libs/libinput-1.7.3 restores this functionality. I suspect this is an upstream bug but I don't see any bug reports on the freedesktop.org bugzilla reporting the issue.
