Xchat fails to compile with above error in log. Found following Gentoo bug with same symptom: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=420291.
Created custom overlay with patch from that bug, modified ebuild to include patch, rebuilt manifest and afterwards installed with no problem.
