Vte 0.38.1 does not include libvte-2.90, but instead libvte-2.91. This will make packages depending on 2.90 fail, because portage will try to pull in vte 0.38.1 instead of 0.36.3 (the latter is the latest available Ebuild that still has libvte-2.90).

Attached are an example ebuild that will fail because the wrong vte will be emerged as a dependency and a patch for the portage tree resolving this issue.
