I would very much like to change the default key mapping of "F1" for help in GNOME to something else. "F1" is a valid key for console applications and having it mapped by default is annoying.

My general policy on this is that no "regularly typed" keys should be mapped by default. I prefer using things like "super-F1" ("Windows"-F1), etc. for UI features.

I believe F1 is the worst offender but I think that F10 may do something too. It would be good to move UI features to "super" key combos.
