Build dev-qt/qtwebengine-5.15.7-r2::qt-kit failed due to "syntax error operand expected"

    • This issue reported here impacts only dev-qt/qtwebengine but it's likely that www-client/chromium and any other ebuild that uses the memsaver code.
    • The memsaver code relies on localized text that is not guaranteed to exist under any locale.

      I am unable to build dev-qt/qtwebengine (both versions, 5.15.5-r2 and 5.15.7-r2).

      If i simply try to merge the packge, using the following command, I get:

      emerge -1va dev-qt/qtwebengine

      complete log is attached.

      If i remove (deactivate) the USE flags, this problem in the build.log is solved, but the build failed in a later point.
