To support moving away from the traditional python approach historically used by Gentoo and Funtoo, we need good documentation on what exactly is using python on a base stage3, and what modules it needs. There are some obvious things we know about already like Portage, ego and metatools, but what we don't have good docs for is all the other stuff on a stage3.

Having this documentation will help us to understand how to build and migrate to a next-generation solution for python modules.
